ARL IndyCar League

Sunday 6th of May 2012 we kick start Season 1 of the iRacing IZOD IndyCar Championship , this new and exciting single seater, fixed setup championship will see some of the greatest, most action packed racing ever on ARL. Free Trial membership will be available for the length of the championship for existing ARL member. Each round of this 6 round Championship will be broadcast live with the prize winners all being announced on the last race of the season.

Getting Started

Once you've signed up you'll be placed in a league based on your I & Safety Ratings.

We'd also like to know your iRacing Name (custid would be helpful), Current iRating & Safety Rating.

The Basics
The season will run in tandem with the [URL="http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/SeriesNews.do?season=611"]iRacing Official IZOD IndyCar Fixed Series[/URL], so you can practice all week in the open session hosted by iRacing or use our unofficial race for some much needed race practice without the worry of loosing valuable Safety Rating.

The official championship will run 15 minute qualifying sessions, followed by a 45 minute Championship race. Each league will race 1 round on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month. Clean racing is key here. Accidents do happen, but causing deliberate actions will invoke a penalty, which could lead to removal from the league.

License Eligibility (As of the start of the season):
Although this championship is open to all, we are putting in a minimum Safety Rating of R 3.0 to compete. If you need more info on Safety Rating and how to get it up please contact one of the ARL iRacing team [URL="http://www.apexracingleague.com/showthread.php?7759-The-iRacing-Team"]here[/URL]

Teams
We are running a team Championship ontop of our standard Drivers Title. ARL will provide a private Teamspeak Channel & forum area to discuss each event. Teams will need to be declared before the start of round 1 or ARL will create random teams drawn from a hat.

Points System
P1: 25 Points
P2: 20 Points
P3: 15 Points
P4: 12 Points
P5: 10 Points
P6: 8 Points
P7: 6 Points
P8: 4 Points
P9: 2 Points
P10: 1 Point


Bonus points will be awarded for the following :
Inc Free Race: 2 Points
Pole Position: 1 Point
Highest Charger: 1 Point (driver who gains the most positions from their qually place)

Penalty Points will be given as follows:
-1 Point for every 10 Inc

Prizes
As per any official ARL championship you will be entered into our end of Year Prize Draw along with this we will be giving away one iRacing Car or Track to the winner of each Class.

2012 Prize draw, for every race you do you get a ticket to win the prize draw. The more you turn up and race the better your chances are of winning.
