400km of Suzuka

I'm not sure if anyone else caught this on the iRacing forums, but Toby Bushnell is running a 400km endurance event next weekend for the Corvette at Suzuka. It seems like a good time, with a massive field of cars hopefully. I already signed myself up but it would be great to get some more people from here as a 400km race leaves plenty of time for setup flaws to show themselves.

If you want to register just send a PM to Tony on the iRacing forums. If we get a decent turnout I'll gladly host a session to work on setups for the race. Also, here is the time and date info for the sessions, the rest you can get from Toby's post.

Fri 29th July: 16:00 GMT - Practice 1 (6 Hours) - Open to all
Fri 29th July: 22:00 GMT - Practice 2 (6 Hours) - Open to all
Sat 30th July: 16:00 GMT until 16:30 GMT - Practice 3 (30 Mins) - Passworded
Sat 30th July: 16:30 GMT until 17:00 GMT - Qualifying (30 Mins) - Passworded
Sat 30th July: 17:00 GMT - 400km of Suzuka - Race - Passworded

It looks like a lot fun (kinda of wish they added two other ALMS). But, I think I'll give it a go. If not I will make sure I help everyone with setups and spot.

But how can we do driver changes when that is not going to be ready until next season or even next year?

Since the Vette isn't getting the new tire model... I'm going to back out of this event. But, I'm looking at doing a event August 6th at Spa with the Mustang, GTi and MX5 Enduro.

I'll be there for sure for the Spa enduro. I haven't decided if I'll stick around for Suzuka yet. It looks like Toby is undecided so far as to whether it will be a C6R race or a Ford GT race, so I think I'll hold out for a bit to see if he gives in to what seems to be popular demand. It sure seems like he is losing a lot of people that wanted to race the NTM.

If it's the Ford GT... I might do it then.
